Description
It is May 19, 2015. She is standing in front of the Wall of Remembrance at the War Memorial of Korea. She has found the name of her father, missing in action during the Korean War. She clutches a flower, hand to her mouth, overcome with emotion. She represents the overwhelming sadness and grief and undying thread of hope of those whose loved ones have not yet come home -- who have disappeared during the war. There are 26 names I have painted onto this wall, representing those MIA veterans whose families were hosted on a first trip to South Korea by the Korean Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, to honor and say thank you for the greatest sacrifice of all. They are brothers, husbands, Uncles, fathers. They need to come home. The oil pastel pencil and watercolor is called, "In His Name We Never Forget". My iPad art is painted and drawn using Procreate.

Thank you Angela ... it was wonderfully emotional being allowed to share this moment with the families in South Korea. This painting is for them.
